Family Reunion!

On tuesday of this last week I was able to borrow a friends car and drive into town to meet up with Doug, Liz, and Kim! They all happened to be here at the same time! What are the odds? We had so much fun and I was so happy that I was able to see all of them while they were here. I got into town around 3 in the afternoon. From there we sat around in the lobby of their hotel and sipped on some pina coladas. Kim came with a friend named Leslie and I was able to meet her as well. Most of the restaurants were booked for the night but we were able to get into the Cheesecake Factory. Cant complain there! We all went there and ate and talked for quite a while. It was good to catch up with everyone because the last time I saw them was over winter break during all the wedding extravaganzas. After dinner we went to the International Marketplace and shopped around for a bit. They all wanted to get little souvenirs to take back to their kids and I just walked around with them, enjoying the company. Later, we went back to the hotel and sat at a table outside on the beach. We enjoyed some more pina coladas and talking. I love that I can talk to them forever and about anything. I love my family so much. I couldn't have been blessed with better people. The trip back home from town was kinda crazy. I didnt realize how much gas it took to get back and when I was on the freeway I realized that I was practically on empty. Well pretty much anywhere else in the world you should be like "Oh, well I'll just get off at the next exit and put some gas in the car." Yeah, no. It doesn't work that way here. There aren't like any exits. One lane roads ladies and gentleman. I was freaking out. I ended up running out of gas and had to pay a $200 towing fee back to campus. It sucked. And it took forever for the tow truck to get to me! Just kidding. That didn't happen. I was worried that I wasn't going to make it to a gas station in time. I think I freaked out a little more than necessary, but I made it safely to the gas station, and home. Good story right? Life is good.
