Family Reunion!
On tuesday of this last week I was able to borrow a friends car and drive into town to meet up with Doug, Liz, and Kim! They all happened to be here at the same time! What are the odds? We had so much fun and I was so happy that I was able to see all of them while they were here. I got into town around 3 in the afternoon. From there we sat around in the lobby of their hotel and sipped on some pina coladas. Kim came with a friend named Leslie and I was able to meet her as well. Most of the restaurants were booked for the night but we were able to get into the Cheesecake Factory. Cant complain there! We all went there and ate and talked for quite a while. It was good to catch up with everyone because the last time I saw them was over winter break during all the wedding extravaganzas. After dinner we went to the International Marketplace and shopped around for a bit. They all wanted to get little souvenirs to take back to their kids and I just walked around with them, enjoying the company. Later, we went back to the hotel and sat at a table outside on the beach. We enjoyed some more pina coladas and talking. I love that I can talk to them forever and about anything. I love my family so much. I couldn't have been blessed with better people. The trip back home from town was kinda crazy. I didnt realize how much gas it took to get back and when I was on the freeway I realized that I was practically on empty. Well pretty much anywhere else in the world you should be like "Oh, well I'll just get off at the next exit and put some gas in the car." Yeah, no. It doesn't work that way here. There aren't like any exits. One lane roads ladies and gentleman. I was freaking out. I ended up running out of gas and had to pay a $200 towing fee back to campus. It sucked. And it took forever for the tow truck to get to me! Just kidding. That didn't happen. I was worried that I wasn't going to make it to a gas station in time. I think I freaked out a little more than necessary, but I made it safely to the gas station, and home. Good story right? Life is good.
Just an ordinary weekend.
Ahh the weekend. This weekend was great. On friday, Erica and I went to temple beach for a few hours and after maybe an hour of being there her "friend" (If you know what I mean) Jordan came and met up with us. I love Hawaii so much. It was a great day. After our beach day, I had to go to work. Work was great actually because there were no supervisors that day so itwas super chill and we could dolike whatever wewanted...kinda not really. After work, I went to BYUH's Got Talent with some co-workers! The first half was good and there were a lot of really good performers, but the second half was kinda strange. It was out of control. I don't know exactly how to explain this to you but you're going to have to believe me haha. After the show thing, I just goofed off with some friend which ofcourse consists of taking pictures. This picture is suuper trippy because it looks like I'm holding them up but those legs are Shonteri's. Shonteri isfrom australia and the other girl is Rhonda. She is from Colorado! These girls are so much fun to be around. I love all of the friends that I have made here and couldn't have hoped for abetter group.
Saturday was another beach day! I went to Bikini beach with Erica, Shonteri, and Rhonda.Bikini beach is beautiful...like all of them, but the view is amazing at this one. There is this random swing on a little tree that we went and messed around with. We spent most of the day there and soaked in the sun. My life is so rough. After the beach, Ihad to go to work again. I work pretty much every night. After work, I met up with Erica at the basketball game! It was a really close game but we lost by like 2 points :/ It went into double overtime. It was a good game
against Dixie State. After the game, Erica and I went to foodland with Jordan, Mustapha, and Christian to get "beverages" as Jordan would say. Then we went to the boys house and watch The Town. I of course dozed off at the very end...I would do that. The end is the most important part! So I don't really know how it ended. Oh well. It was an interesting night. February 26, 2011 was a memorable one. Thats all I will say.
Finally, Sunday. Today was Stake Conference. It seemed to drag on for-ev-er, but the strange droplets of some unknown liquid falling from the ceiling kept me and Erica busy. We couldn't figure out what it was or where it was coming from! Then we looked behind us to find Jordan completely passed out. It was a looong night....haha. Like every Sunday, skype took over my day. I skyped Kalene and my parents. What a relaxing day. The best part about it is that when I was sitting on my bed, I caught my roommate watching a youtube video trying to learn how to whistle with her figures. hahaha. Sooo funny. Now, I'm being a loner and sitting on facebook for the rest of the night. I'm so cool.

Third times the charm.
Today was a very momentous day. Soaking in the rays of the Hawaii sun with Erica and talking about what the future holds for us...what more could I want? Well, the one thing on my mind was "Can I just know what I'm doing with my life next year? Is that too much to ask?" As I'm sure you all know, I've been trying to get into BYU provo for a while. I have actually been denied twice already. So I've been thinking a lot about what I'm supposed to be doing. Should I stay here? Go to ASU or UA? I really had no idea. I've had the BYU Admission Status page pulled up on my phone for a while and I refresh it like every hour to see if anything changes. Day after day, all it said was "complete". It started to drive me crazy! I really wasn't expecting to get in at all...but I did! In fact, I was more leaning towards staying here in Hawaii and graduating. I honestly would have no problem with that! I LOVE it here. But I think that I only like the Hawaii aspect of being here. I mean, who wouldn't?! When I start to think about why I like it here so much, I started to realize that the school itself isn't as amazing as I thought it was because all I was thinking about was the beach. I don't fee like I would get a full college experience here if I ended up graduating from here. Here's why I think this...we don't have any big sports teams, no night life, not much dating either. There are a lot of things that you are supposed to experience in college that you just don't get here. Im so stuck on what I am supposed to do. I love both places, it's just decided what I want more and think is best for me....which I feel like might end up being Utah, but what kind of crazy person would want to leave hawaii?! Im so confused! Its tough. Im trying to listen to everyones opinions and decide what I should do but its so hard to pick! We'll see where life takes me. Im just happy to know that I have accomplished getting in. I've been working so hard to get in and I finally did. I definitely have more confidence in what I am capable of doing and achieving now.

Gross.
A very disturbing thing happened today. And I decided that Im going to just blog on specific things that happened all the time then have to remember everything that happened in one week. So last night, this nasty bug was flying around my head and it was really bothering me so I smashed it with a piece of paper. I got up to do something and left the paper on my desk...gross I know. When I got back, I completely forgot that there was a nasty smashed flying creature sitting on my desk and I went to bed. I didn't remember this bug until now, 14 hours later, when I got home from class. The bug is pretty much gone, however there are a million ants where I left the bug. I am a little disturbed and grossed out.
